The Conceria dell’Orologio, a key landmark of the industrial heritage of the San Miniato tanning district and built in the second half of the 19th century, has been brought back to life as the Casaconcia Exhibition Space, the headquarters of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale.
A visual diary tracing forty years of exploration. Cesare Borsacchi has taken us on a journey across five continents, offering us unfiltered glimpses of emotions and memories that resurface. From his roots in the San Rossore forest, where the young Cesare was encouraged by his mentor Giuseppe Viviani, to his extended stays in Kenya, Venezuela, Cuba, Singapore, and Australia: each stop is a “visual repository” of cultures and encounters.

La forma sembra quella classica della vignetta pubblicata su un giornale, le teste sovradimensionate, i caratteri decisamente accentuati, come se l’artista avesse preso a un certo punto i suoi schizzi e li avesse ingranditi fino ad assumere l’importanza di un quadro, andando ad enfatizzare ancora di più le imperfezioni”
