“Telling about the “Human People”, as the title of this exhibition states, is the rguiding thread of Daniele Spisa’s art. People reading a newspaper in subway cars, or sitting in a car, putting on their makeup in the mirror; others on the train, in a motorway restaurant, or still posing for the family photo, or in a waiting room, waiting for their turn. The meaning of Spisa’s work is in a painting that looks at people, not at nature or things: the artist’s real interest lies in the normality of everyday life and in the stories that arise from the images, imprint themselves in the eyes of the beholder, supported by a strong artistic personality. A force that animates the canvases, opening narrative paths supported by poses, objects, color and light to the viewer’s thought, to creative investigation.“
